Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and governance of a modern, cloud-native data platform. This is a key role in a high-impact transformation programme focused on unifying data across multiple business units into a secure, scalable, and analytics-ready architecture.

Technical requirements: ✔️

• Proven experience designing data architectures on Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and governance tools.
• Strong track record of implementing Snowflake in enterprise settings, with expertise in architecture patterns, security, and performance optimisation.
• Hands-on knowledge of DBT, particularly for scaling modular, version-controlled transformation pipelines.
• An understanding of Power BI integration, especially around data modelling and enabling governed self-service analytics.
• Well-versed in data architecture principles, including modelling, metadata, data quality, lineage, and access control, aligned to privacy and compliance needs.
• Experience working in Agile environments, with the ability to support iterative delivery while ensuring architectural integrity.
• Stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable designs and guide delivery teams. 
• Experience contributing to Discovery phases is highly desirable, including leading workshops, assessing current-state architectures, and shaping future-state designs that transition seamlessly into implementation.
