Role overview

We're seeking a Technical Architect to lead and scale a digital delivery team for a major public sector client. You'll partner closely with a Tech Lead to shape the technical direction of upcoming initiatives—from exploring the current landscape to building the team that will deliver future capabilities. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of frontend engineering and high-level strategic planning.

Technical requirements: ✔️

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect in large-scale, public sector or government environments
  
• Expertise in Node.js and JavaScript, with strong frontend architectural skills
  
• Ability to assess and map current technical state, plan future-state architecture, and guide implementation
• Skilled in collaborating with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and Delivery Managers
• Experience supporting hiring and scaling development teams
  
• Knowledge of common patterns in public sector digital services (e.g., GOV.UK design system, GDS assessments)
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  
• Ability to work in hybrid or remote settings (subject to client requirements)
